So today is the last day of the course and I'm feeling pretty good about my work. I feel that I worked hard and I have some pretty good show reels to show for it. I spent some time considering the best piece of music for my show reels to help accentuate the feel of my game. I spent the day today doing some boring stuff like converting files to the correct formats and just generally getting ready for my exhibition. Over all I feel like I have come a pretty long way artistically during my time on the course, especially with the program photoshop.

So, yesterday I was mostly working on an environment design. Which is pretty hard for me, as I'm not really used to it. It's something new that I need to get lots of practice in, but I'm pretty happy with the way it came out although its not a particularly high detail design. I think it in keeps with my artistic style of the game so far. I haven't done many environmental designs so far because I have been working more on my game mechanics. I think these are more important to my game and the work I've done on showing the progression of my main character through out the game has helped me clarify some of the obsticles that he must overcome in o

I went to see Marie Claire for advice. She suggested I stop doing my sketching in pencil and work on finished colour pieces. I have been following this advice by developing some of my previous sketches. I am developing my skills in photoshop and creating colour pictures. I have mostly been focusing my work on character design as this is most interesting to me. I have worked on many individual colour pictures of characters by working from my storyline of starting out as a simple toaster and having to add parts (gaining strength, speed etc) to allow you to continue further in the game. I've been enjoying working on several different body design
